Students Are Key Contributors With Their Standardized...
Students are key contributors with their standardized tests score. Their score will determine graduation and school ratings. On the elemental level, the student does not always comprehend the value or importance of their education. Therefore, it is the teacherââ¬â¢s role that is the leading pieces at this level. The students perspective can be influenced by other factors such as peers. Over the years, the teachers puzzle will become less and the students piece more as the student shows growth in understanding their role in their education. While there are other pieces to contribute such as administrators, parents, and the community, the chapters focus on the key roles of the student and teacher. Elementary students have been considered sponges such that they should be open to learning and have some kind of mindset that school is considered good. However, over the years the demographics have changed such that number of students have increased along with diversity, povert y schools, and types of educational needs. This change the idea of education being good to other issues on campus such as healthcare, and physical and intellectual development which can multiply over the years. Students are overlooked as key participants in teaching learning initiatives and leads to the belief that it is the teacherââ¬â¢s sole responsibility for better outcomes.
